Refund & Cancellation Policy

Credits are digital and delivered instantly, which makes refunds worth spelling out properly. This is when you get your money back, how fast, and how to ask.

Nuestras políticas se publican únicamente en inglés. La versión en inglés es la vinculante.

The short version

  • A generation that fails or comes back broken is refunded in credits, or in money, within 14 days.
  • You can cancel a subscription at any time, in one click, and keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
  • Consumers in the EU and UK get the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal on their first purchase.
  • Credits you have already spent on successful generations are not refundable.
  • We would rather refund you than have you file a chargeback. Email us first.
  • There is no free plan and no trial — PrankLab is paid only.

1. What you are buying, and when you get it

PrankLab sells credits. A photo prank costs 1 credit, a video prank costs 3. Credits come with a monthly or annual subscription plan.

Delivery is immediate and electronic. Credits appear in your account as soon as your payment is authorised — usually within seconds, and always within a few minutes. There is nothing to ship, and no physical goods are involved. Your generated results are delivered as downloadable files in your account library, normally within 10 to 20 seconds for a photo prank and around a minute for a video prank.

If your payment succeeded but credits have not appeared within 15 minutes, that is a delivery failure, not a wait. Email hello@pranklab.io and we will fix it or refund you in full.

Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax, VAT or GST is added at checkout where it applies to your billing country, and is shown before you pay.

2. There is no free trial

PrankLab is paid only. There is no free plan, no free credits, and no trial period — every prank costs credits from a paid plan.

We would rather say that plainly than bury it. It also means you cannot test the Service before paying, so the protections below carry more weight than they would elsewhere: a failed generation is refunded, and consumers in the EU and UK keep a 14-day right of withdrawal on unused credits.

3. Failed and defective generations

If a generation goes wrong through our fault, you are covered for 14 days from when it happened. That includes:

  • a generation that errored, timed out, or never produced a file;
  • a result that downloads corrupted or will not open;
  • a video with no sound, truncated length, or a broken render, where the template promised otherwise;
  • a download that expired or never worked before you could save the result; or
  • credits deducted for a generation you never received.

In those cases we return the credits automatically where we can detect it, and on request otherwise. If you would rather have the money than the credits, say so and we will refund the payment instead.

What is not a defect: a result you simply do not like. AI generation is unpredictable by nature, faces come out imperfect, and a template will not always produce the picture in your head. Re-running a generation costs a credit, and taste is not a fault. If a template consistently produces poor results for everyone, that is our problem to fix and we will treat it as a defect.

4. Cancelling a subscription

Cancel from your account settings at any time. There is no cancellation fee, no notice period, no retention call, and no form to fill in.

When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you keep your credits for that period. It does not renew after that. We do not automatically refund the unused part of the current period — but if you cancel because the Service is not doing what we said it would, ask us and we will look at a pro-rata refund on the merits.

If we materially reduce what a paid plan includes, or discontinue a feature you subscribed for, you are entitled to a pro-rata refund of the remainder of your period. Tell us and we will process it without argument.

5. EU and UK right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving any reason. This applies to your first paid purchase and to each subsequent subscription renewal you have not yet begun using.

Digital content is a special case. Because credits are delivered immediately, you are asked at checkout to agree that delivery begins at once and to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once you start using the credits. That consent is required by law and it is explicit — we do not bury it.

  • If you have not spent any credits, you get a full refund within the 14 days, no reason needed.
  • If you have spent some, we refund the balance in proportion to the credits still unused.
  • If you have spent all of them, the contract has been fully performed with your consent and no refund is due.

To withdraw, email hello@pranklab.io within 14 days with your account email. A plain sentence is enough — you do not need to use a form, and we will not ask you why.

None of this limits your separate statutory rights if the Service is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. Those rights run beyond 14 days.

6. Credits, rollover and expiry

  • Monthly credits are added at the start of each billing period.
  • Unused monthly credits roll over for 30 days, then expire.
  • Credits have no cash value outside the Service, cannot be exchanged for money except as a refund under this policy, and cannot be transferred or sold.
  • Credits already spent on a successful generation are not refundable.
  • If your account is closed for a serious breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, remaining credits are forfeited and no refund is due.

7. Charges you do not recognise

Charges from PrankLab appear on your card or bank statement as PRANKLAB, billed by Stack Max LLC. If you see something you do not recognise, that descriptor is usually the answer.

If it still looks wrong — a duplicate charge, a renewal after you cancelled, or a payment you did not authorise — email hello@pranklab.io before you contact your bank. We refund genuine billing errors and unauthorised charges in full, and we do it faster than a dispute does. A chargeback typically takes weeks and gets the account suspended while it runs; an email usually takes a day.

8. How to request a refund

Email hello@pranklab.io from the address on your account and tell us what happened. Include the date of the charge and, if it is about a specific generation, roughly when you ran it. That is all we need.

StageTiming
We acknowledge your request1 business day
We make a decision and tell you whyWithin 5 business days
We issue the approved refund via StripeSame or next business day
The money reaches your bank or card5 to 10 business days, set by your bank

Refunds always go back to the original payment method. We cannot send a refund to a different card or account, and we do not issue refunds as store credit unless you ask us to.

If we say no and you think that is wrong, reply and ask for it to be reviewed. A different person will look at it. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, and consumers everywhere keep whatever rights local law gives them — this policy adds to those rights and does not replace them.
